A couple days ago, I found a really cool website called u.Try.it. Amy has a ton of good recipe ideas that I want to try, but I decided to make Amy’s Meyer Lemon Sugar Scrub for Mother’s Day gifts this weekend. I know that by posting this recipe, my Mom will probably find out about her Mother’s Day gift ahead of time, but I had to share this anyway! I didn’t have Meyer lemons for the scrub, so I used regular lemons instead. It turned out perfect!
Lemon Sugar Scrub
Makes 1 cup
1 cup granulated sugar
Zest of 2 lemons
2 Tablespoons coconut oil (room temp – not melted)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
- Zest the lemons with a small to medium sized zester.
- Stir the zest into the sugar until mixed.
- Add the oils to the sugar and mix again until well blended.
- Put into jars and decorate. Enjoy!
